One joy of Japan is just walking around to look at temples. Apparently the country is estimated to have 100,000 of them. Tokyo alone you could spend weeks finding them. They’re tucked away in all sorts of places but the big ones are hard to miss and quite popular. If you’re feeling up to it you can walk up, bow twice, toss a coin, clap twice and say a prayer.
